Book Selection Resources
Reading is an essential part of an individual's growth and education. In order to promote a love of reading and the habit of reading, we feel it is important for students to read books that bring them joy and pleasure. Becoming a lifelong reader also means learning to select books from the many choices available. Besides recommendations from teachers, school librarians, and local public librarians, the selection resources listed below offer useful guides to quality literature. And don’t forget the joy of reading aloud with your friends and loved ones.

Parent Resource Library
The Libby O. Cohen Library includes a collection of books selected for their usefulness and interest to parents. They are books about children, raising children, parenting issues and concerns, Quakerism, and education. Parent Library books are shelved in the lobby of the Main Building. They are available for circulation. Please feel free to check them out.
