Owing to the generosity of Bryan Phillips, Tandem parent and Assistant Director of the University of Virginia Contemplative Sciences Center, we will be conducting a raffle for two second-row seats to the October 11th morning appearance by His Holiness The XIVth Dalai Lama of Tibet at the Paramount Theater in Charlottesville [click the following for details: http://dalailama.com/teachings/schedule]. Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from Kelly at the Front Desk as well as at various school events throughout the first month of school. The final drawing for the set of two tickets will be held on Monday, October 1st at the end of the school day. All proceeds from this raffle will go to the newly established Tandem Friends School Spiritual Life Speaker Series fund which has been established to advance programs at the school in the Contemplative Sciences.
