Diversity at Tandem Friends School

At Tandem Friends, we have a long tradition of supporting diversity and incorporating it in the fabric of the day-to-day experience in our community. As the first integrated private school in the area, Tandem has always placed the desire for a diverse and inclusive student body at the forefront. Whether it's on the Diversity Committee, in student organizations, in our Advisories, or in the classroom -- our faculty, staff, administrators and students are encouraged to be in open and honest dialogue about issues of religious diversity, socio-economic diversity, ethnic and racial diversity, and so much more!

Twice a month, a small group of faculty meets to discuss issues of diversity at Tandem Friends as they relate to the student experience in our classrooms and our community.  They work to ensure that students from diverse backgrounds are being supported in their academic and social experiences at TFS by providing inservice training for faculty and feedback to the administration.
