7th Grade Drama Shares Cafe 006-7

The first trimester 7th grade drama and music classes shared the first 7th grade 'artstravaganza' of the year with the entire Middle School and many parents. 7th grade music students, with Kent Raine as their teacher, opened the performance with two songs, a ukulele-backed rendition of Bob Marley's 'Three Little Birds,' followed by a full band cover of 'I Can See Clearly Now.' Then the 7th grade drama class, with Edwina Herring as their director, took over with their production of Cafe 006-7, a series of clever, self-created and acted skits. There were many creative, energetic skits, including: Babysquatters who undertake a botched babynapping; a documentary set in Antarctica; a talk show interview with Batman and his mother; a murder investigation set within a simulated game; a 'perfect day' interrupted by a murder and silent investigation; an ad for Worth a Try burgers; an alien abduction and battle; an investigation of the murder of a mayor; and finally, support groups for Disney princesses and Disney villains have a showdown. What fun!
