Fall All-Conference Honors Plentiful

Tandem's fall varsity student athletes (and coaches) received many All-State (VISAA Division 2) and All-Conference (Delaney Athletic Conference) honors this season. We fielded two All-State runners, a conference Runner of the Year, a conference soccer Co-Player of the Year, six All-Conference runners, nine conference First team athletes, one conference Second Team athlete, one conference Honorable Mention athlete, and two conference Co-Coaches of the year. Not too bad for a school that maintains a no-cut sports policy!

Varsity cross country honors abounded. Junior Mason Love, named an All-State Runner and DAC Runner of the Year, also finished the season in 6th place in the All-Central Virginia cross country poll (Daily Progress and Ragged Mountain Running). Senior Nathan Stevenson was named an All-State Runner. All-Conference honors also went to seniors Nathan Stevenson and Meridith Frazee (all conference for her fifth straight season), juniors Sophie Farr, Mason Love, and Mario Pepper, and 8th grader Charlie Kalnite.

On the boys varsity soccer team, senior captain Josh Warren was named Co-Player of the Year; 1st Team honors went to senior Matthew McCullough, junior Ford Scott, sophomores Patrick Jabalee-Farrell and Dylan Peifer, and freshmen Parker Lerman and Jaden Reynolds. Coach Nate Adkins was named Co-Coach of the Year.

The varsity volleyball team earned 1st Team honors for junior Julia Dailey and freshmen Talia Smith and Anna Warren. 2nd Team honors went to senior Elyse Jabalee-Farrell and Honorable Mention went to junior Stella Lane. Coach Brandon Edwards was named Co-Coach of the Year.
