Math Students Measure with Human Ruler

Students in math classes with teacher Chris Hudspeth (Algebra I and Discrete MAthematics & Statistics) are practicing how to measure, analyze and then utilize the distance they travel with each stride and each heel-toe step. They are measuring in both metric and imperial distances so they build their fluency with both forms of measurement. This will lead into students using only their known stride and heel-toe lengths to determine unknown distances. They'll actually be assessed on how close they come to "mystery distances" that Chris has precisely measured.
