Latin Students Attend Virginia Junior Classical League State Convention

Tandem Upper School Latin students recently attended the Virginia Junior Classical League state convention in Richmond. They took a variety of tests on subjects including Roman history, Latin mottos, Ancient Geography, Roman/Greek Mythology, Reading Comprehension, and varying levels of Latin Grammar. In addition, the AP class (Elijah, John, and Owen) all took the rigorous Decathlon test which incorporates 10 separate categories at the most advanced level. We also finished 2nd in the Mythology Jeopardy competition.
