5th Grade Scientists Experiment with Water

5th graders had some fun learning about water. In their first experiment, they learned about volume and displacement, starting with a cup of water filled to the brim. They then added 95 pennies until the water spilled over. As one 5th grade scientist exclaimed: "My mind is blown!"

In their second experiment, they determined how many drops of water could fit on the head of a penny before spilling over. Their focus as they determined the answer was impressive. The answer? You'll have to ask a 5th grader to find out.
