English Students Create Character 'Autopsies'

Students in Tucker Winter's Senior Composition class are creating character 'autopsies' for their summer reading books. In groups, they are creating a life-sized representation of their assigned character with body parts symbolically representing elements of each character’s life and personality. For example, the spine represents the character’s motivation. Students will find a quote from the text to illustrate the character’s motivation and design a symbolic representation to draw or paste on the life-sized body. Final versions will be presented and explained next week in class.
