8th Grade Hexagon Interconnectivity Project

Middle School art teacher Julia Sapir's 8th grade art students recently completed working on the Hexagon Interconnectivity Project. Each 8th grader created a piece of art on a hexagon-shaped paper. The subject of the students' art ranged from environmental stewardship to unrealistic beauty standards and harmful mental health issues. Together, the assembled hexagons become a metaphor for interconnectivity.  Check out the finished hexagons and each artist's statement on the left. It's powerful artwork and it is on display in the Blue Room (right side) if you'd like to check it out in person.
