The TFF is an essential resource for funding all areas of Tandem education including financial aid, supporting our faculty, providing experiential learning opportunities to our students, and so much more. Every donation is a gift; it is a note of thanks, a vote of confidence, and an investment in the future of our school, our students and our staff.

Why Giving Matters

Our school is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that relies on donations from community members. Like most other independent schools, tuition does not cover operating costs in full. We rely on donations to help us create the moments of spark that transform lives. Your gift makes an immediate and meaningful impact on the experiences of our students, faculty and staff.

There are several areas of designation that contribute to the immediate needs of the school and are considered a part of the Tandem Friends Fund (TFF). Area of Greatest Need
This is the most versatile, essential and popular of the ways to give and support Tandem Friends School. Gifts to the TFF get put to use immediately and are available to support the most urgent needs that arise at our school.
Financial Aid
To maintain a student body that represents a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, walks of life, and financial circumstances, Tandem Friends makes financial aid available each year to families with demonstrated need. Your gift makes it possible for us to offer a higher level of support to the families that need it so that they can contribute to our thriving community.
Faculty and Staff
Tandem is best known for our wonderful teacher-student dynamics. Our faculty get to know each student and carefully cultivate them to become their best selves. Attracting and retaining these dedicated professionals requires the school to be able to offer competitive salaries and benefits as well as to provide valuable professional development opportunities. You can help support the needs of the people who nurture your children through a gift to this fund.
Student and Community Life
Tandem cares about every student's entire experience, taking a whole-child approach to education, and we invest in a rich array of opportunities to make that possible. Whether on the field or on the stage, in the Student Senate or in the Makerspace, Tandem students choose from a plethora of options to develop their interests, hone their skills and become leaders. Our students organize the Mother’s Day Music Festival, participate in Model UN and Science Olympiad, and dazzle in plays, concerts and art shows. Our no-cut sports program is an essential element of the Tandem experience, fostering inclusivity, teamwork, trust and determination. Your gift can help ensure that each of these elements of student and community life are well funded each year.

Program: The Tandem experience goes beyond textbooks and classroom instruction; we continue our focus on the “whole child” approach to adolescent education. Tandem Friends offers numerous opportunities for students to explore the arts, athletics, STEM, social justice initiatives and leadership.
