Spotlight on 2D Art Students

Students in Amanda Nelsen's 2D art classes have already created some stunning work. They began by designing the covers for their own sketchbooks, then stitching pages and covers together to create the completed sketchbook they will use this year. Students created colorful zines, 2-page magazine-like spreads, with one page illustrating their name and the other a phrase or idea they wanted to share. Students also gave meaning to text by creating 2-D visual depictions of a word. Check out examples of each completed project.
