August 16-22, 2025

It was an amazing first week of 2025-2026 at Tandem Friends! We are all energized and a bit exhausted. Students spent a fun half day on Tuesday greeting old friends and getting acquainted with new friends and teachers before we had our first full day on Wednesday. New students and faculty were welcomed with lengthy applause from the returning community, seniors and faculty/staff introduced themselves to the community and Middle and Upper Schoolers discovered class locations, teachers, classmates, and expectations for the year. School lunches and snacks were enjoyed together around campus, Middle School sports got underway, the 'homework club' began meeting after school, some grades picked up Chromebooks, advisories enjoyed some fun bonding activities and much more. Students then enjoyed two days of regular classes to round out the week and get used to the rhythm of the days here at Tandem.

 

A group of parents had fun chalking our walkways on Monday to help welcome the community back (see article and Chalk the Walk slideshow below). New parents learned more about Tandem and each other at New Parent Orientation on Monday night. Many thanks to all who showed up for those events!
