August 24-28, 2026

This second and first full week of school brought many things with it - school photos, parent meetings, more sports meetings, a full week of classes, some exciting games, the first meetings for worship of the year, the first LRC sessions, and a sense of normalcy as we settle into the schedule. New students and faculty are finding their way around campus more easily and it already seems like we've all been here together for quite awhile. The weather was lovely!

Upper Schoolers held Experience Week trip meetings, and also focused some community time on Advisory lessons on topics like curiosity, information vs knowledge, and the life of the mind after school. Some learned about emergency procedures while others did baseline concussion testing (something we are doing for all 7th-12th graders this year - details below). Middle Schoolers spent Community Time talking about division norms and expectations, and growing closer through ‘getting to know you’ activities and games. Upper School Photography are having fun getting to know their school cameras and learning about exposure. Middle School artists sewed together their own sketchbooks. 

Parent meetings by grade began this week, with four grades of parents coming to campus to learn more about their students' academic years and upcoming Experience Week happenings. The other four grades have meetings next week (see details below). Thanks to all who attended. Mark your calendars for Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 10, the most important of the start-of-year meetings.
