5th Graders Bake to Raise Money for Local Non-Profit

Tandem Friends 5th graders held a bake sale this week to raise money for the non-profit rescue organization Augusta Dog Adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. They made cookies, muffins, brownies, cupcakes, and even two flavors of dog treats to sell during two lunchtimes from the back porch. They raised an amazing $292 to share with Augusta Dog Adoptions, an all-volunteer foster and rescue organization. 5th graders chose this organization themselves - what a wonderful way to serve the community and show compassion for living things. Nico, Lennon, and Jon did a great job of advertising the bake sale ahead of time!
