5th & 6th Graders Make and Share Bookmarks

Middle School drama teacher and 5th grade advisor Edwina Herring shared that a group of 5th and 6th graders has been making and sharing Tandem bookmarks as an act of community kindness. 5th grader Macsen started the project because he likes making bookmarks and he decided to give one to Latin teacher Meg Davis. But he didn't think it felt fair to only give one to one teacher. So he and his friends (5th graders Summer, Frankie, and Gus along with 6th graders Althea and Miles) decided to make more and give one to every teacher and staff member. They are making the rounds with their bookmark creations. The world needs more of this 5th grade style of kindness.
