Tandem Student Film Chosen for Showcase at Virginia Film Festival

During last spring's Filmmaking Emphasis, Tandem students Daniel B, Lily Y, and former student Margot E, working with Tucker Winter, Edwina Herring and Lighthouse teachers, wrote, acted in and filmed a short movie called Confessions of an Ostentatious Girl. Their film has been selected for viewing as part of Light House Studio's Shorts showcase at the 2026 Virginia Film Festival. Their film will be shown on Wednesday, October 21 at 5pm at Violet Crown Theater (Downtown Mall). The screening runs approximately 90 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A with the student filmmakers and a vote for the audience's favorite film. This is a free, unticketed event, but RSVP here if you plan to attend.
