Week #24 - JV Boys Badgers Win Three Games in Three Days!

RMA. Covenant. Monticello. None of these squads could contain the Tandem JV Boys Basketball team, now 10-1. The Badgers have played at an incredibly high level throughout the season! Playing with pace, the Badgers were at their best when Monticello went to a full court man to man press. As Coach Sam pointed out, Coach George has the press-break on lock! All five players touched the ball - and there was not a single dribble. King threw an inbounds pass to Derion. He kept the ball high and looked toward the middle, where Mason stepped to the ball and pivoted to face the basket. He spotted Levi flying down the right side of the floor, and tossed a chest pass in his direction. Levi took one step towards the basket, and with eyes in the back of his head, he tossed a pass over his shoulder to Levie, who completed the play with a smooth layup!
Right off the opening tip, Tandem got the ball inside to Mason, who scored 11 of his game high 17 in the first quarter. Dalin proved to be a presence as well - showing off his back to the basket game. He would fake to the left and spin back to the right, earning 2 of his 8 in the first quarter.
 
In the backcourt, King played with great pace, attacking the rim with no fear. On one occasion, he split two defenders and spun around a third, scoring 2 of his 9 on the day. Derion, often working against a double team or a trap on the sideline, was smooth with it - his jumper is always on and today he had the handles to match.
 
In the final period, Jace spun left and crossed back to his right. His defender, desperately trying to keep up with him, lost his balance as Jace earned a trip to the line. The Badgers held Monticello to three points in the final period, earning a 41-23 victory on the road!
 
The team returns to action twice more next week to wrap up a magical season. I hope you can be there!
