  • Senior Emma Hitchcock Wins Tom Tom Youth Summit

    Tandem Friends senior Emma Hitchcock's Art for the Heart project won the top prize in the Tom Tom Youth Summit’s Social Innovation category on April 12. Emma, who partnered with senior Zadie Lacey from Monticello High School, won the Grand Prize with their project, which works to provide art therapy sessions to area homeless women. They received a $100 microgrant and the opportunity to participate in the Summer i-lab program at UVA for two weeks to further develop their project/idea.
